Today is Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Families and friends get together to spend quality time enjoying full moon and… the delicious moon cakes!

What is it?

Most mooncakes consist of a thin, tender pastry skin enveloping a sweet, dense filling, and may contain one or more whole salted egg yolks in their center as the symbol of the full moon

There are other fillings. Shanghainese would put meat in the mooncake ( which combined two of my favorite food, dessert an meat lol)

Where can I find it?

Millie’s home. Apart from that, I would say HONGKONG SUPERMARKET, which is the biggest grocery shop in chinatown.
